CBB65 capacitors ,also called AC motor run capacitor, use edge-thickened metallized zinc-aluminum film as electrodes and dielectric. The film is wound by a winding machine and then inserted into an aluminum case. High-purity castor oil is filled into the case to maintain a vacuum state, allowing the capacitor to withstand high temperatures. This design ensures excellent performance and long service life. The capacitor also employs a second-generation mechanical explosion-proof design as an explosion-proof measure, significantly improving its performance.
The explosion-proof mechanism, commonly known as pressure differential explosion-proof, operates as follows: When insulation of a component within the capacitor deteriorates, generating high heat, internal pressure increases, causing the capacitor's outer shell to deform and expand. Mechanical displacement breaks the explosion-proof piece (wire). Since the power supply is connected through the explosion-proof piece to the capacitor components, breaking the explosion-proof piece disconnects the power supply, effectively opening the circuit. The effectiveness of explosion-proof depends on the design of the explosion-proof piece, its installation position, and the sealing of the capacitor.
